Safety Net® Case Manager™: Features & Benefits

The Safety Net workflow management system for disability case management offers a solution to case management teams looking for leading edge tracking and management solutions. Unlike generic occupational health software, Safety Net was built from the ground up to facilitate secure group interaction over wide area networks.

This makes it possible to integrate recording of all case management activity, from absence reporting to longer term case management, and to involve every party to the process: from employee, line manager and human resources consultant, to insurer, actuary and rehabilitation services provider.

  • Total coordination of case management brings increased efficiency, avoided costs and higher employee satisfaction with the process, leading to earlier return to work.
  • allows you to share case management data securely among different locations within one organization, or among several organizations (eg. An employer, a service provider and a disability insurer)
  • integrates case management plans with your existing messaging systems (such as e-mail, fax and pager) so members of the case management team are reminded when their actions are needed
  • works with other systems: payroll, human resources or the Safety Net telephone absence recording system (separately licensed)
  • allows you to associate case types with management plans (also called timeliness or alert sequences) which automatically prompt case management team members when their actions are required
  • stores any type of data object as part of the case management file. For example, you can store a copy of a letter that you create in your word processor, or a scanned document.
  • uses encryption key technology to ensure that even your Information Technology department cannot read confidential information (such as medical diagnostic information) that you store in the system
  • supports the Step By Step® disability management process
